The fondly-remembered Southern Championship Class Wrestling was a promotion that ran out of Tennessee between 1998 and 2003. Founded by Shane Sneer, it was an attempt to run a true old-school southern promotion, the kind that hadn't been around since the early 1980s when the Supreme Wrestling Federation started to swallow up all the competition.
In truth, nostalgia clouds the minds of fans when it comes to SCCW - while they did put on some decent shows and have some good talent and memorable angles, the reality is that they were quite low budget and were never more than a struggling regional promotion.
