6'5, 260lb Des Davids was a promising young football star in college until a back injury put an end to that career. Strong, quick and muscular, his potential to be a good pro wrestler was spotted by Rip Chord who brought him into Mid Atlantic Wrestling. With Chord's guidance, Davids rapidly become a big star with MAW and it wasn't long before bigger promotions came sniffing around. With Chord's blessing, Davids chose to head to USPW in the summer of 2007. Davids soon established himself as a useful member of the roster and was clearly being built up as a future star, but in 2011 when his contract came up for renewal he surprised many by jumping ship to the SWF, who had made him a lucrative offer.
